Southern California Edison has been preparing to "roll-out" a major revision to its SAP Enterprise software. In order to create the three training courses I was tasked with, I had to work with the development team, the data team, and the Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure I understood the steps to be followed, the correct sequences, the correct data to be used, and then analyze and reorder the steps and procedures to create an easy-to-follow set of instructions to help users perform their daily SAP tasks.

In the course of creating these documents, I had to discover (on my own) that when I had problems duplicating steps the same twice, the problem was NOT a problem with the steps, but rather with the data subset created for the training environment I was required to use.

  1. Document #1 was a 36 page SAP ERP Quick Reference Material (QRM) Training Course teaching students how to use various SAP Transaction Codes to create, search, display, change, cancel, print, and attach documents to SAP E1 Notifications. This course is designed to be a "stand-alone" handout for self-paced training. In addition to the hardcopy, an interactive PDF version was also created for use as an online training document accessed via the SAP HELP menu.
  2. Document #2 was a 56 page SAP ECC Quick Reference Material (QRM) training course teaching students how to use various SAP Transaction Codes to create, search, display, change, cancel, print, and attach documents to SAP E3 Notifications. This course is designed to be a "stand-alone" handout for self-paced training. In addition to the hardcopy, an interactive PDF version was also created for use as an online training document accessed via the SAP HELP menu.
